Additional reasons to not go to Arizona
A hurried political analysis, so there are some generalizations:
John McCain is in a competitive senate race with J.D. Hayworth, a man who has this creepy-incredulous-used-car-saleman-sex-offender look to him and actually said that gay marriage would lead to man-horse marriage.
Anyways, to combat the Hayworth-mobile, McCain has had to swing super far to the right to appeal to the Tea Party/anti-immigrant crowd and now supports a bill that essentially allows for the racial profiling of Hispanics throughout Arizona. While on the O'Reilly Factor, McCain struggled to explain coherently why he supports bill, and at some point states that illegal immigrants intentionally cause traffic accidents on the highway.
The sad part is that you kind of have to support McCain, because the alternative is so bad.

we should probably rename this blog "grumblecakes and tron ruminate about politics and pop culture"
ReplyDeleteI'd do it. we'd probably have to implement some standards though. such as capitalization and spelling.
ReplyDeletewhy?
ReplyDeleteBecause I don't want to look like a Tea Party member!
ReplyDeletefair.
